The situation board
The dashboard opens on the situation board: one screen that answers “does anything need me?” before you have to go looking.
The status line
Across the top: how many conditions are met, how many incidents are at full activation, how many events are live in your areas, how many watches and forecasts cover them, how many areas you watch, and the time in UTC. Each number is a count of something you can open.
Needs you now
One list, ranked by what is most urgent:
- Conditions met in your areas, with the decision each one forces (see conditions worth waking someone for).
- Decisions overdue on an open incident.
- Operational periods that have lapsed without a next one started.
- Decisions due within the hour.
- Watches and forecasts over your areas.
“Nothing needs you right now” means exactly what it checked: no condition met, no decision overdue or due within the hour, no watch over your areas. A decision due later in the period does not appear here; it is on the incident's Decisions tab and the EOC overview.
Your areas and the map
Below the list, each area you monitor says whether anything is live in it, and the map shows them with recent events. Open Map takes you to the full live map.
